Extraordinary Life

Change Your Life By Changing Your Mind - How To Create And Extraordinary Life

Do you want to create change in your life? Do you wake up in the mornings with the sense that you could be doing something different that would be more fulfilling? Do you toss and turn at nights wondering what more is out there for you? Don’t worry, you are not alone. People are dynamic, we need change, unfortunately not many people understand the psychology behind change. If it were as easy as reading the latest self-help book or attending a weekend seminar, you would find yourself accomplishing everything you wanted to accomplish and experiencing fulfillment in every facet of your life. So what’s the barrier to realizing change? It’s habits. As appealing as change may sound, we habitually prefer the comfort of familiarity over the uncomfortable, often difficult process of making the changes that will lead to a more fulfilling life. So how do you break this habit? The first thing you can do is understand the psychology behind change. Don’t worry, it’s not rocket science, it’s about patterns of behavior and thought.

Research has shown that for a lasting change to occur, individuals must have:

  1. insight into a need or the desire to make a change,
  2. motivation for making a change,
  3. knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for change,
  4. real world experience to apply new knowledge, skills and abilities, and
  5. accountability linked to the change process.

Let’s look at each of these requirements to change. First is insight into a need, or the desire to make change. This typically stems from a life transition such as ending a relationship, loosing or changing a job, approaching a birthday, anniversary or new year. Whatever the origin of the insight, the result is the same, you are left with an unsettling sense that something needs to be different.

Is that nagging voice in your head enough to drive you to change? That depends. Your life circumstances will greatly influence your motivation. The 45-year-old mother of three will have a different motivating force than the 24-year-old single college graduate. If your desires for change are realistic within the context of your current circumstances, the motivation for action will be present. The thoughts about what the future holds will now be keeping you up at night.

It’s time to take action. “But what action” you may ask. The first step is to clearly define what your future looks like. With a clear picture of your ideal future you can begin to identify the steps it will take to get you there. You will probably need to acquire new skills, make new acquaintances, and have new experiences. You will need an action plan to move you from what you currently know and do to your vision boardof what could be. Here is where most people get derailed. Here is where the difficult and uncomfortable part of change comes into play. It’s easy to dream about a new reality, but to take action requires work. Not only work to learn new techniques or tactical ways of doing things, you have to look at your patterns of thought. Your inner saboteur will come in and tell you “this is too difficult, you’ll never get it, you could be spending your time, energy, money on something else, and it’s not worth it”. So you go back to doing what you’ve always done, and you get what you’ve always gotten.

The only way to break this pattern of complacency is to hold yourself accountable for taking action. Most people cannot do this alone. Most people need someone outside themselves to keep them on track, sticking to the plan. You need to have an unconditional collaborator (partner, friend, family member or coach) to hold you accountable for getting off the couch and out into the world of possibility. You need someone to push you through the difficult process of changing your habits and thoughts. You need someone to slay your inner saboteur.

Do you think you’re ready to take action on changing your life? The first thing you need to do is find that unconditional collaborator. A few people will have these types of relationships readily at hand, a partner, friend or family member. Most of us, however, get lost in the emotional dynamics of their existing relationships so much so that having them play an unconditional role in your change process is unrealistic. Hiring a personal coach to take you through the process is an option many are discovering. Professionally trained personal coaches know the psychological process that underlie change and can customize a program based on your particular needs and goals. Quality Life Solutions personal coaches use the DARE model to creating lasting change. To put it to use for yourself, take the following steps:

Define: What is your burning desire? Where do you want to see yourself a year from now? 3, 5 and 10 years out? Do you want wealth? Do you want to find your soul mate? Do you want a healthy body? Mind? Soul? Do you want to accelerate your career to a higher level of success? Start your own business? DARE to define exactly what you want. Create the vision boardof your future and put it on paper. Cut out pictures, write down aspirations and don’t hold back. Action: Planned, purposeful action paired with affirmations, influence internal forces to create lasting change. Write down the action steps to get there. You may not know all the steps initially, but with each step written and taken, the path will become clearer and you will move closer to accomplishing your goals. Write down affirmations and repeat them several times everyday, especially when you wake up and before you go to sleep at night. Affirmations are a necessary part of reprogramming your thoughts. Receive: By examining the attitudes, behaviors and beliefs that may interfere with achieving goals, you will be prepared to receive and accept the changes that come through the Define and Action process. Use your unconditional collaborator to pull you through this difficult process. Remember, you are worthy of an extraordinary life. Expand: Never stop growing. Reflect and expand on the process. Repeat the cycle and realize dreams you never before thought possible.

Change is a difficult process; however, you can take comfort in the fact that your desire for change is part of personal growth. If it were easy, you would never come across anyone in an unsettled state. The key is to make your transitions in life as effective as possible. Creating your extraordinary life is within your reach, with guidance and determination you can accomplish anything you desire.

Take Action Affirmations Will Get You Going

Action is the bridge that connects ideas and thoughts into the physical world. Take action affirmations are absolutely necessary because they provide the confidence needed to wholeheartedly pursue your goals. A simple affirmation such as: “I faithfully pursue my goal with confidence on a daily basis”, has the power to change your life forever.

Procrastination is a thief that will rob you at gunpoint and force you to stay average, in your comfort zone, and not accomplishing a whole heck of a lot. Procrastination should be viewed as an enemy, an enemy that will keep you living far below your true potential.

If you had to be who you are now for the rest of your life, would you be happy? Are you totally happy and fulfilled with how your life is going? It is my belief that if that were true, you would not be reading this. Many people would say that you just need motivation, but how do you get motivated? Vision is the answer.

You need a personal vision that is so compelling that you will and must do whatever it takes to accomplish it. What are five things you desire so badly that you will do anything (within reason) for them? Write a detailed description of how your perfect home looks. How does your ideal family life look? What is your dream job? What is your dream income?

To get from where you are currently to where you want to be, you may need to recondition your mind for success. In addition to motivational/ inspirational books and tapes, specific affirmations that cause you to take action are absolutely necessary. Decide what you want, create affirmations based on the goals you’ve set for yourself, and recondition your mind by repeating your Take Action Affirmation Statements fifty to one hundred times a day, every day.

The Perfect Balance Of Health And Fun

Attracting Power of Vocal Harmonics Basic Mantra for Achieving a State of Calm

Swimming pools have been around for much longer than you or me. It can be traced back to the 3rd millennium BC ‘great bath’ constructed at Mohenjo-Daro civilization which was a part of the Indus Valley civilization located in the Sindh province of Pakistan. Ancient Romans and Greeks also built swimming pools and used them for athletic and military training besides recreational purposes and bathing. The first heated swimming pool was built by Gaius Maecenas of Rome in the first century BC. Gradually over the time bathers became swimmers and bathing pools became swimming pools. So the part that a swimming pool plays in our lives can be traced back to many centuries. Since then civilization has traveled a long way and though swimming pool plays an equally if not more important part in our present day world, life has become much simpler. Now acquiring a swimming pool is just a matter of a phone call.

A swimming pool dealer can easily ensure that you become a proud owner of this luxury called swimming pool with no effort on your part. In many parts of the world owning a private swimming pool is still a matter of luxury and can give you a status symbol if you have a swimming Pool installed in your backyard. Installing a Blue World pool would only involve a phone call to a reputed dealer on your part. The design, style, color and shape of the pool will be customized according to your taste and preference which ensures that the Blue World pool fits in with the décor of your home. The swimming pool that you get installed in your home could be either an on-ground or in-ground pool. The in-ground pool also known as sunken pool can be of three main types which are vinyl liner, concrete and fiber-glass. On-ground or above ground pool is generally more economic than a sunken pool. It is also more popular in northern countries where ground freezing makes excavation a difficult process and there is also the danger of the pool structure being damaged.

So before you actually get a swimming pool installed you could perhaps consult the pool dealer on the kind of pool that will be most suitable for your home. The family members are sure to be thrilled with the installation of their very own swimming pool and the children also gain instant popularity with their friends for the pool parties that will become a regular feature in your home. A Blue World pool is not only the best way for you and your loved ones to unwind but swimming is also one of the best forms of exercise that gives you a complete workout without you realizing it. So once you have made up your mind to install a swimming pool you can simply go ahead and call a Blue World pool dealer and prepare yourself to have a great time every time with your family and the pool, all from the comfort of your home.

Eric Wills advises people on installing and setting up swimming pools. He has been working in this field for many years. For any information on Blue World Pools, blue world pool dealer, blue world hot tubs and swimming pools financing visit: http://www.blueworldpoolinstallation.com/

Legal Advice Could Be Your Motivation

Why I Like The Term Counselor At Law

The term counselor-at-law is more in keeping with high goals and ambitions than the term lawyer. Counselor elicits an image of one who has deep knowledge—who dutifully informs and offers insight into critical matters of the mind and heart. A counselor is a person who guides others—a confidant and a pathfinder, and law firms would be wise to find ways to show their clients that they are counselors as well as lawyers.

Creating a change in image does not mean rejecting traditions that have contributed to a firm’s past success. We must be careful not to toss out the proverbial baby with the bathwater. We should not take for granted the hard-won wisdom of the old traditions. The process of reinventing tradition need not always be at the expense of the past.

Progress is being made in the legal profession. Today, the art of mediation is being taught to lawyers in record numbers. Lawyers are seeing the value of keeping clients out of court and even experimenting with new methods of managing conflict resolution—sometimes on their own, but usually with the help of trained mediators.

Although the practice is still rare, lawyers are increasingly taking it upon themselves to meet with opposing counsel and discuss pathways to resolution for their respective clients.

Lawyers are beginning to see themselves as expert negotiators—as facilitators who are skilled at managing conflict proactively and helping parties to achieve mutual gain. This type of “counselor-to-counselor” mediation may be the beginning of a new -tradition—one in which using the term counselor-at-law seems more appropriate.

“Counselors” are still advocates who must vigorously serve their clients’ will in an adversarial forum. Yet we must remember that in days gone by, the court was considered a forum of truly last resort. Going to court often represented the failure of parties to resolve a dispute between themselves. The prospect of having strangers sit in judgment of one’s personal affairs was considered embarrassing. It meant that the parties were not able to handle their affairs responsibly on their own but needed outside help.

Although some lawyers are turning to negotiation rather than lawsuits, legal education has not kept pace with the profound need to teach client communication skills to law students. Many law schools do not offer courses in management and leadership, negotiation and alternative dispute resolution or, in a more general context, how to serve clients well. Less than 3 percent of the law schools in this country offer even a single course on client communication skills, negotiation or even alternative dispute -resolution.

Blind Advocacy

Law schools still believe that their role is to prepare students to become warriors; rarely are students taught that they may also be agents of resolution. To legal educators, the term advocate has traditionally been defined within the singular context of litigation. Lawyers, however, can also be advocates when they work toward resolution and finding ways to better serve their clients.

It is no surprise that law school graduates go on to become paper soldiers in a world filled with adversaries. The plaintiff is adverse to the defendant; the defendant is adverse to the plaintiff. Students are even taught how to protect themselves against their own clients. We lawyers measure ourselves by the number of wins we post, not by how skillfully we serve our clients’ interests.

Lawyers are steeped in their adversarial domain, and this tradition is hard to change. Too often we see our roles as extensions of our clients’ anger and frustration. We are like professional gladiators, wielding sword and shield, blazing a path to justice at almost any cost—even if we end up adding fuel to the fire and assuming greater levels of risk for our clients.

For new law-school graduates, the adversarial system must seem like a giant game station with its own set of rules—checks and balances. Each side is given equal access and the opportunity to use whatever traps and tricks they wish, with the assumption that in the end, justice will prevail. Students begin to think of themselves as hired guns—paid to win, but not necessarily paid to serve.

Today, trial advocacy is probably the single most popular elective taken in law school. Schools send their best and brightest students to compete nationally in the art of trial advocacy. Yet there is no national competition for serving clients well or negotiating and resolving difficult conflicts. At this time we can only imagine a competition where students win points for formulating creative strategies in negotiating a settlement or for demonstrating calm and reason at the negotiation table.

There’s no doubt that going to battle releases more adrenaline than providing service. But does teaching our law-school students only one way of problem solving really provide them with a complete view of their future roles as lawyers and counselors?

Negotiating a case to settlement is not always the answer—there are legitimate reasons to settle matters in a courtroom rather than a mediator’s office. Nonjudicial resolution may be impossible when the parties rightfully and legitimately want to have their day in court. Under these circumstances, what is the lawyer’s role in the context of being a service-driven counselor?

The lawyer, as counselor, helps clients to identify and clarify priorities and to distinguish anger from reason. The lawyer makes sure that a client’s decision to fight comes from a clear head and, if possible, that it is an unambiguous choice. In this counseling role, the lawyer helps a client to make a considered, thoughtful decision, born of free will, after all of the options have been explored and after all the costs and risks have been examined. Finally, when it is time for trial, the advocate skillfully and masterfully gives voice to and goes to battle for the client’s cause.

How to Achieve a Good Lawyer-Client Relationship

In courting clients, a good rainmaker discovers the nature of a potential client’s business and the specific challenges the person faces. When appropriate, the lawyer also learns as much as possible about the client personally.

This high level of commitment is the essence of being a fiduciary, and it does not end when the prospect becomes a client. Instead, taking on a new client must mark the beginning of a committed and conscious effort to serve.

For most lawyers, learning how to serve requires specific skill development and training. It requires learning the arts of listening and asking questions. These are the most undervalued and overlooked skills in the legal profession today. Law firms usually balk at investing in the education and professional development of their associates, and mentoring is often limited to developing legal skills, but developing communication and character skills should be at least equally as important.

Learning how to serve clients, especially for young associates, should not be a hit-and-miss process. Firms must take an active and determined stand regarding developing and sustaining a high level of communication skills throughout the firm. Promoting these skills should be as important as developing an associate’s writing skills.

What Does It Mean for Clients to Count on Their Lawyers?

Action that arises from character is authentic and, therefore, predictable. Clients should find that their lawyers can be counted on under almost any circumstances. Lawyers who can be counted on to be responsible, attentive, caring, sensible, honest, hardworking and trustworthy will attract new clients and keep existing ones.

Developing a law firm driven by such inspired values will create growth and prosperity. These values cannot be imposed from the outside and cannot simply be words in the firm’s brochure—they must originate at the core of the firm and grow outward. This is the essence of great marketing.

Justifying our hourly rates should have more to do with the service we deliver than the prevailing rate of the marketplace. The value of an extraordinary counselor—a trusted friend—is greater than one can imagine, and clients expect to pay more for such service. This is why, in the long run, no investment will bear greater returns than the investment firms make in marketing programs that reach into the essence of a firm and build service development systems that clients want and value.

It’s not too late. Signs of new traditions and new ways of looking at service-driven marketing are already upon us from places you might not expect. I speak of leading firms, giants in their own ways of doing business that are ever intent on reaching new levels of service for their clients.

Swinging Out: Keeping Our Eyes on the Ball

It’s said that those who dream most, do most. Dreams resides in our imagination and come to life in the choices and actions we take. The extent to which our dreams are realized depends on our willingness to consider new approaches and employ new ideas. Marketing, when done well, draws upon both.

The law firm of Heller Ehrman not only understands this concept, but has also applied it with great success. It has chosen to lead, and its own branding makes clear that it is a different type of firm. The ad copy below comes from a full-page advertisement about the firm. Listen for the inherent truth in their words:

"Perhaps a law firm need not exist inside the legal-sized parameters of tradition. Maybe it lies outside of convention. Maybe it crosses lines of formality. Maybe it recognizes a need to overstep the expected. And quite possibly, it realizes that inspired acts of tenacity and imagination are the only way boundaries get pushed."

Consider that just five years ago, maybe less, a nationally recognized law firm would never have dared to print such statements. Today, however, these words are part of what defines this firm.

Daring to swing out—to take a chance by doing things differently—takes both courage and faith in a profession where convention rules: courage to face the consequences of our choices, and faith that whatever life throws at us will only strengthen our resolve. In this sense, faith and courage are inextricably tied together.

It takes great courage to keep seeing. The problem with looking away is that it requires that we take our eye off the ball—if only for a moment. We would rather not face the personal disappointment of knowing that we settled for less in our professional lives—that we could have gone much further had we dared to really swing out—had we had the courage to look inside and ask what it was that we really wanted and what it would take to get it.

Marketing ourselves is much more than promotion. It involves a search for professional identity. It must necessarily include, for each of us, an inquiry into our personal identity and then into the collective identity of the firm.

A concept such as finding our personal and collective identities may not be what you’d expect from an article on law firm marketing—but it goes to the essence of how we really attract and keep new clients. Changing the way you market your firm will require a willingness to change your perceptions, leave the comfort of your domain and dare to imagine how things might be. Your new vision will be the catalyst for your success. It will align your firm with its highest values and distinguish it from other firms.

This strategy goes far beyond the conventional approach to marketing. It is based on strength of character, and the marketing that emerges from character will continually generate powerful opportunities for your firm. If you dare to consider what it might mean to find your unique voice as a professional and your own special brand of service, you will be infinitely rewarded. Who would think that law firm marketing could lead to such extraordinary insight.

The Truth About The Law Of Attraction

Everyone is talking about the Secret. From Oprah to David Letterman, it is the new media buzz.

The Secret is a movie about the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction has been around since the beginning of mankind but only a select few knew what was it about. Those who knew and understood the law were some of the most successful men of the history of mankind.

So is the Law of Attraction real or just another marketing gimmick?

The truth is nobody really knows. Law of Attraction can go by any other name but essentially the Law of Attraction is everywhere and is working every single second : Whatever you think about and focus on, you will bring about. This is a proven fact based on many examples of famous men in the history of mankind. Thomas Edison, a man that changed the history of men totally, had never gave up his dream even though he kept failing. It is this unwavering focus and determined drive which he had that eventually brought or "attracted" what he wanted.

However, many men and women found much difficulty in using the Law of Attraction to bring about the things that they want in life. In the end, most of these men and women often ended up proclaiming that the Law of Attraction does not work.

There are 3 things that can thwart your effort in using the Law of Attraction :

1. Doubt.
When you have even a tiniest doubt about the Law of Attraction, whatever it is that you are trying to attract will move further away from you. Having doubt in yourself or your own instinct will also deter the attraction. Why? The Universe will often in its own way, present to you opportunities to help you but you may not have jumped at these opportunities due to your doubt.

2. Negativity.
When you focus on negative thoughts like "I do not want debt in my life", more debt will come into your life instead. The Universe does not understand "I want" vs "I do not want". It only knows that it will give to you whatever thing you focus on. Thus, why not focus on "I am a millionaire on 31st January 2009" instead?

3. Taking No Action.
This may be due to your laziness or due to self doubt as in Point 1. Imagine having the best no-risk opportunities presented to you but yet you do not take action, do you think you will be able to successfully attract all the things you want in your life?

Once you can eliminate the above points, the Universe will start arranging the events in your life to attract the things that you want into your life. All you have to do is be patient, be grateful to whatever you have now and never give up. To accelerate the process of attracting, start focusing and visualizing what you want every single day.

If you want to attract abundance and wealth in your life, Alison recommends Bob Proctor's The Science of Getting Rich Program that guides you step-by-step on how to attract wealth, health and riches. You can get a FREE interview report with Bob Proctor here: http://www.abundanceattracting.com

Dr. Wayne Dyer

- 22 Lessons I Learned

Home Sitemap Partners The Power of Intention Getting in the Gap Wisdom of the Ages The Secrets of the Power of Intention

Dr. Wayne Dyer is a popular motivational speaker and author. His recent books include The Power of Intention, Ten Secrets For Success & Inner Peace, Getting in the Gap and Everyday Wisdom. I've been studying Dyer's principles for the past 22 years and here are the top 22 lessons I've learned from him:

  1. You get whatever you think about most. Whatever you think about expands… and therefore, we must be careful to not think about what we do not want.

  2. You can never get enough of what you don't want. Why? Because we're thinking about what we don't want and we keep getting more of it. From an abundance and prosperity perspective, it can be costly (meaning you can lose great opportunities) to contemplate the conditions you do not want to produce for your life…for fear of getting more of what you don't want.

  3. Think from the end. I'm a big believer in starting with the end outcome and working backwards to reach it. Dyer takes a more mental approach to it as he encourages you to contemplate yourself surrounded by the people, events, and things that represent your version of a "perfect life."

  4. An attitude of gratitude will take you a long way. Rumi said, "Trade your knowledge for bewilderment." It is good to be in awe of all that you have attracted into your life and the more you are grateful for that - the more that will flow freely into your life.

  5. Paraphrasing Dyer: There are no branches of any trees that think it is wise to fight with each other. In other words, there is no value in fighting with others as we are all from the same metaphorical human tree of life. There is an old zen saying that goes something like this: Whatever you are for, strengthens you and whatever you are against, weakens you.

  6. It is only natural to have abundance and prosperity in your life. It is unnatural to resist the gifts you have been given in life to share with others. Therefore act confidently with a "knowing" that you already have all of the resources you need to succeed.

  7. You must be independent of the opinion of others. No one can make you into what you are not. You are responsible to no one for your actions and thoughts except yourself. In addition, you are not in control of your reputation. All you can control is yourself and how you act on a day to day basis.

  8. You alone choose your emotional state each day. No one can make you feel any different than you choose to feel on any day. Therefore take full responsibility for the emotional states that you choose to embrace each day.

  9. You are not your body nor are you the possessions that you believe you have. You are timeless; perfect; …just the way you have forever been and will forever be. You are a spiritual being having a human experience. Live your truth.

  10. Meditation can help you solve problems and achieve inner peace. While mental visualization of your intentions or goals are a good thing to do, think of "meditation" as quieting your mind to achieve a place of "no where" -- It's one of the best ways to center yourself.

  11. Your EGO is often at odds with universal laws and principles. Best to identify when you are acting from ego vs. acting from your true authentic self. Your ego wants you to feel special and different than others but the reality is that we share more in common than we have differences. Focus on radical humility and respect for yourself and others in order to keep your ego at bay. You can only extend to another that which you are in truth.

  12. You can only give others what you have inside of yourself. Therefore to give love away to others, you must cultivate love for yourself FIRST. Dyer uses the metaphor of squeezing an orange - asking you what comes out when you squeeze it. Most people answer, "orange juice" comes out. Why? Because that is what is inside. When humans are squeezed, what comes out of them is what they harbor inside of themselves. Harbor love, acceptance, joy, confidence, peace and harmony towards yourself so that you can radiate it towards others.

  13. Your relationship with others does not really exist. You only have your perception of your relationship with others to act on. Therefore you must focus on making sure you perceive your relationship with others on the terms that you hope for the future of the relationship to exist. In other words, you must see harmony within yourself and then with the other person. You must always have within you what you wish to see or give another.

  14. Our intentions create our reality. We each create our own personal realities by what we focus on and intend to happen for our experiences. Therefore we have an enormous responsibility to choose our intentions carefully.

  15. Be attached to nothing but rather connected with what you want for your life. Attachment can cloud your ability to attract what you want. When you let go and surrender to your perfect self, you will attract what you desire.

  16. There is never any scarcity of opportunity, but rather there is only scarcity of resolve to seize the opportunities that knock on our door every day. Scarcity does not exist unless we choose to embrace it…therefore, it is better to never embrace scarcity only embrace the possibility for abundance.

  17. When the teacher is ready, the students will appear. When the student is ready, the teachers will appear. We can not learn the lessons we are here to learn if we are not open and receptive to learn. Do not resist the possibility to change, but rather expand and become more open.

  18. No one was ever hurt by practicing random acts of kindness. The law of reciprocity always rewards kindness and even more-so when you are kind without any expectation of needing a return. There is no difference in the words "giving" and "receiving."

  19. The best way to maximize book sales is to release related products that can be purchased. For example, a book could be followed up with an audio tape, audio CD, DVD, flip calendar, playing card decks and more. Each of these creates additional revenue streams that help to maximize the ROI from each published works. (My marketing brain wanted to insert this lesson in here ;-)

  20. Judgment: One of our purposes in life is to find a way to free ourselves of our need to judge others in a negative light. This is the work of our ego and judging others prevents us from seeing the good in them. There is no value in judging others poorly. As we see others, we also see ourselves.

  21. Dyer says, "It's Never Crowded Along the Extra Mile." That means that we must always give more than we expect to receive. In doing so, we join the small percentage of achievers that consistently go above and beyond the call of duty to serve others. The rewards are often disproportionate for those who go the extra mile vs. those who only do the minimum they need to get by. We give without expectations.

  22. Trust in yourself and in doing so, you trust in the very wisdom that created you. It is impossible to become a no-limit person if you focus on limitations…therefore only focus on what you want to attract for your life. You already are complete, whole and perfect. Trust in the perfection of your life.

Where Does Your Truth Come From?

We all have certain truths that we live our lives by and we all have certain concepts that we believe to be universal truths, but are these ideas and concepts immutable or are they malleable? And who decides what is true and what is not? Fine esoteric questions indeed and it is worth taking a little time to explore some answers.

Let us take a quick look at what the dictionary tells us is the definition of “Truth.” My dictionary says, 1 a being true; specific, a) sincerity; honesty b) conformity with fact c) reality; actual existence d) correctness; accuracy 2 corresponding with fact or reality.

So the dictionary seems to be very reliant on the physical aspect of our nature to define “truth.” It talks about 'reality' and 'actual existence' and 'corresponding with fact or reality.' But what about the idea that 'reality' is totally subjective to whoever is deciding what “reality” is? One person's 'reality' holds different 'truths' than another persons 'reality.' Does your 'reality' hold the same 'truths' as Hitler's 'reality'? Does a republican's 'reality' hold the same 'truths' as a democrats 'reality'? Does a man's 'reality' hold the same 'truths' as a woman's 'reality'?

It seems that everything is a matter of perspective. So the ultimate 'truth' for you is always a matter of your own perspective at any particular point in time. Because, in 'reality,' we are always changing our perspective according to new data.

Now we are getting down to some quantifiable information. Namely, where is the new data coming from? Basically there are two ways to collect data. We can receive data from external sources and we can receive data from internal sources. Our external sources are all fed to us from a perspective other than our own. Our internal sources can only come from our experience.

If you choose to define your 'truth' from external sources, such as the television or the headlines in the newspaper or Charley down at the neighborhood pub, then you must understand that what you call 'truth' is really only what somebody else calls 'truth'.

The only way it can ever be your 'truth' is if you have experienced it. How else could it ever be true to you? If you have not experienced it then it is only hearsay and speculation. Doesn't that make sense? How could you ever say something was true to you unless you had experienced it? Whether or not it is true for somebody else doesn't make any difference. They are not you. Only you can define your own truths and you can only do that through personal experience.

Then your truth comes from your own internal source, your experience. What a relief. Now you don't have to keep agreeing with people about their truths. They have their truths and you have your truths. The key then becomes honoring everybody's truths.

Now we are getting into the sticky area because we are conditioned to believe that there are certain truths that are truer than other truths. You see how it gets curiouser and curiouser? My truth is better than your truth. Is not, Is so, Is not. Is so. etc.

Can't we all just get along?

Yes, we can if we believe we can. If that is our truth. What does your experience tell you? Have you ever had an experience where you absolutely could not get along with somebody else? What did you do? What was your truth? Did you get along by vacating the experience? If that seemed to be your only option then you did, in fact, get along by moving on. My truth tells me that, yes, we can all get along. That doesn't mean that we all have to be lovey dovey with every person we meet. We just get along in their presence or away from their presence.

Your experience defines what is true for you and your experiences are always changing so it follows that your truth can also change. Are the truths you hold today the same truths that you held when you were ten years old? How about ten days ago. Everything changes with a change of perspective, including our truths.

So if our truths can change from moment to moment according to our perspective is there any truths that are immutable? That is, are there any truths that don't change no matter what the perspective is?

YES!

The ultimate, immutable truth is that LOVE is the infinite intelligence and energy that pervades every aspect of everything in existence, seen and unseen. Not only LOVE, but UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.

That is my experience and that is my truth. Is it your truth?

Prosperity with Motivation Creates Abundance

Creating Money, Prosperity, and Abundance Now (Part 2)

Giving and Receiving

It seems that people generally find it easy to give, but more difficult to receive. Receiving is a very important part of giving. Both keep that energy circulating in our lives. And they keep prosperity flowing in our lives.

I've learned that we should receive with joy and gratitude. Thank the person and thank the Universe. In this way, you keep the doors open to receive even more. And you may even receive money and prosperity from unusual sources. "Creating Money" offers an exercise (one of many) that you can do right now. It suggests that you ask the Universe to send you money through a new channel in the next several weeks and acknowledge it when it comes. Try it and see what happens!

And don't forget to accept compliments. Just smile and say, 'thank you'.

Accept money and gifts only when they're given freely. I've learned that the only times you don't want to accept money or gifts are when there are strings attached, or if someone is trying to buy your friendship.

Giving is an important part of receiving. Giving could come in many forms besides things, such as your time, your skills, your good examples, etc. I've learned that it's important to give gifts that really serve and assist people, something they can really use in their lives. Throughout my life I've enjoyed giving my time and skills doing volunteer work for charities I truly believe in. And I've donated money to organizations I truly believe in. It's such a great feeling to give in this way. And when we give freely, the Universe will give to us freely.

By the way, it's important for us to give to ourselves also, to keep that energy flowing.

Then, there are times when it isn't right to give. That's when we give with strings attached or when we feel obligated to give or when we have expectations about the gift we are giving. Doing this creates a block in our energy flow. We must always give freely, and with detachment.

In my experience, I've learned that giving to people who are always in need, who always need to be rescued from a situation, who are always in the same situation, no matter how many times you've given to them, can actually harm them and stifle their growth. They can become dependent upon you. There is a reason why they keep pointing their magic wants toward lack. Maybe they have important lessons to learn, and if we constantly give to them, they never learn to empower themselves. I've learned that it is best to assist them to create their own prosperity and abundance.

Manifesting Tool # 1

The Magic List

First, I would like to share with you a tool I've used successfully, beginning early in my life. I know that many others have used this tool successfully and authors have written about it, especially in recent years. It's actually very simple and very powerful. I used to call this simply my "List" but now, I call it the "Magic List", inspired by one of my non-metaphysical students several years ago. (More about that later). With this Magic List, you are using the power of the written and the spoken word that is released to the Universe to manifest in your reality.

All it requires are these steps:

1. Take a piece of paper (any kind of writing paper - from a notebook, or your favorite color of paper, etc), and write a numeric list of all of your desires. They can be short-term of long-term desires. State your desires as clearly as possible.

2. After you have written down your desires, at the bottom of the page, write something to this effect: "May all of these desires, or better, manifest for the Highest good of all." This releases any need to manifest your desires in a particular way. It opens it up to the Universe to bring you what you want in the best and Highest way possible, and at the right time.

3. Keep your Magic List with you at all times, in your wallet, purse, etc.

4. Read your list (aloud if possible) just before going to sleep, first thing upon awakening and before going into meditation. Do this every day, and you will soon see profound results.

5. As your desires manifest, cross them off your checklist. Soon, you will want to rewrite it, creating a new Magic List (the old one eventually can look pretty unreadable with all of those lines crossing things off!) on a fresh piece of paper. If some of the old desires haven't yet manifested, you can add them, too. Personally, I prefer to do this on the new and full moons, taking advantage of their powerful manifesting energies.

Several years ago, I studied Native American spirituality from a Lakota medicine woman and learned the ritual of clearly stating my written desires to the Universe on the new and full moons and then burning them, releasing them to the Universe. You'll want to keep your Magic List as a separate list, however, as you'll be using it every day.

6. Finally, do not show your list or talk about it to others. Keep it to yourself. This is a way of keeping your energy totally and directly focused on what you want. Talking about it and sharing it with people only disperses your energy and it may take longer for those desires to manifest.

The Magic List really, truly works. Anyone can do it. The non-metaphysical student (also my co-worker at the time) I mentioned earlier was in one of my prosperity workshops and, as I described what I originally called my "List", he became very pale. After the class, he told me that he had started to write a list just like the one I described when he was a little boy. He said he called it his "Magic List" and never told a soul, not even his brother. He was so amazed to hear me speaking about his secret! And he just had to show me his list, even though I protested. I'm glad that he did in this particular case, because his list was very unusual and it demonstrated how miraculous this tool really is.

This man, then in his fifties, had several hobbies, most centered around finding and collecting unusual, rare, old objects and bottles - some valuable. The items on his list were things most people have never heard of or seen before. His list was well worn, with several items crossed off. He said he kept it in his wallet, looking at his list a couple of times each day. He described to me how each item came to him, just like magic.

Sometimes, it meant suddenly driving down a street for no apparent reason, just to discover that there was a garage sale going on, and then seeing one or several of his desires on the list for sale at the perfect price for him. He would continuously find himself in the right place at the right time. One of the items on his list manifested about three weeks after he had showed his list to me. It was a classic car (I forget the model) in the exact color and year he had specified, and in mint condition. An elderly woman had kept it in her garage all these years and decided to get rid of it. On his way to work one day, he happened to turn onto her street. He saw the 'For Sale' sign, and the price was right. Later, he drove the car to work to show me.

I wanted to share this experience with you to emphasize how the Magic List always works, even for those not familiar with metaphysics.

Manifesting Tool #2

The Magic Wheel

As a teenager, I started to create what I call a "Magic Wheel", learning from people like Catherine Ponder, author of "Opening Your Mind To Prosperity", who calls it the "Wheel of Fortune".

In the years since, I've learned other names from different sources, such as the "Prosperity Wheel", but the main thing is that this is another powerful tool that works for everyone. The Magic Wheel works like the Magic List, except that you are creating pictures of your desires instead of writing them down. Your subconscious communicates to you in pictures and symbols all of the time, mainly through your dreams. Why not communicate directly to your subconscious in pictures? You do so, anyway, with your imagination. This is yet another very powerful way to manifest what you want in a short period of time.

1. First, buy some large poster boards in the colors that appeal to you. For example, if you are working specifically on creating wealth, prosperity, or a new job, you may want to select green poster paper. Gold will work well for this, also. Visually, the subconscious will associate green or gold with money. Remember that color is vibration and energy, also, and what we are doing is working and playing with energy. If you are working on love and romance, for instance, you may want to select a pink shade of poster board. Use whatever color you personally resonate to for what you want to achieve.

2. Cut the poster board(s) into large circles.

3. Search through magazines, brochures and ads and look for pictures, specifically color pictures, of what you desire. The subconscious will more quickly respond to color than to black and white pictures. Then cut them out and paste or tape them to your wheel.

4. I've taught people to use different wheels for different kinds of desires. For example, you'll want the love and romance wheel to only have pictures that represent love and romance to you, such as hearts, pictures of couples, etc. Put pictures representing prosperity and money, or your ideal job or life's work, on your prosperity wheel. You may want to cut out pictures of money in the denominations you want and place them on your wheel. A picture of your new career will show your subconscious exactly what you want.

You can have many wheels, just be sure not to clutter them with your pictures or you'll attract cluttered results. And make sure the pictures you place on your wheel are exactly what you want to see manifest in your life.

5. Once you have completed each wheel, put something on it that represents your spiritual connection, such as a picture of an Ascended Master that you resonate to, pictures of angels, etc. This doesn't have to be a picture; it could be a solid object, like crystals or a cross, for example. In my Native American spirituality class, we learned to also add something that represented our personal totems to our wheels. By adding something that represents your concept of spirituality, you add power, energy and protection to your wheel.

You may want to place a picture of yourself on each wheel, also, so that your subconscious can see you associated with the pictures you wish to materialize. However, your subconscious will get the message very clearly with or without your picture.

6. Look at your Magic Wheel every day, especially when you first wake up and before you go to sleep. And again, you don't want to share your wheel with others. As Catherine Ponder says, "what is sacred is secret".

Manifesting Tool #3

Positive Affirmations

Many of you have heard about the power of using positive affirmations to create what you want in life. If you have beliefs such as those I mentioned earlier in this article, beliefs that have been holding you back from what you want, use of positive affirmations is the key. When used repeatedly, positive affirmations literally re-program your subconscious mind. They are positive instructions that replace those old beliefs with the ones you need, in order to manifest exactly what you want. Using positive affirmations is one of the most powerful things you can do to help yourself.

Positive affirmations are positive statements that you write down and/or read daily, until what you wish manifests in your life. Reading and writing positive affirmations repeatedly about money, prosperity and abundance is another very powerful tool that always works.

1. To start, write down a page of positive affirmations in the present tense. Start with "I" or "I Am". Write down these affirmations several times each, 10 - 20 times. For example, you may want to write, "I am a success", or "I am a magnet for prosperity", or "I deserve to be wealthy", or "I now have a wonderful, new job", over and over. The statements you use must feel comfortable to you. You can write positive affirmations for all areas of your life, including love and health.

2. Read your positive affirmations out loud. The spoken word is very powerful and will create results quickly. It will set certain vibrations into motion that will manifest into form.

3. Say your positive affirmations aloud in front of a mirror. At the School of Metaphysics, I learned how powerful it is to look into your own eyes in a mirror while doing certain exercises such as speaking affirmations. Your eyes really are the windows to your soul, and repeating affirmations while looking into your eyes is highly empowering. The benefits are many, including gaining a greater self-confidence, self-esteem, self-image, self-love, and optimism. Louise Hay, author of 'You Can Heal Your Life," also suggests speaking affirmations in front of a mirror while looking into your eyes.

4. You can also tape your affirmations in your own voice and play them at work or in your car, or anywhere, anytime. The more you use your affirmations, the faster your affirmations become beliefs. And your beliefs will always become your reality. For examples of powerful, positive money and prosperity affirmations, I strongly suggest reading "Creating Money" and/or ordering the affirmations on tape at www.orindaben.com. There are many suggested affirmations throughout the book, channeled from guides Orin and DaBen, which are designed to create major changes in your life.

In Conclusion

These tools are some of the ways in which you can quickly manifest money, prosperity and abundance, or anything you desire. Some other very effective tools you may wish to explore are Feng Shui (which keeps positive energy flowing in your personal and working environment), mudras (yoga hand postures), mantras (word/sound affirmations) and using the power of sound, such as "AH", to manifest while visualizing your desires. All of these tools are ways to keep your magic wand pointed only at what you want. These tools and techniques use energy and spiritual laws that truly create magic in your lives.

It is also important to let go. In my workshop experience, this is where many people get stuck. They want to control how and when something is going to manifest. This only creates a block in the energy flow. After using any or all of the above manifesting tools, directing your attention only on what you want, it's important to let go of the outcome. Just let it happen. Don't worry about it. Allow it to come into your reality. Trust that the Universe will bring it to you in the Highest possible way.

Anytime you want to see or measure just how your manifesting is progressing, just look around at your life. Your life is a mirror of everything going on inside of you. Your life accurately reflects your beliefs, desires and dreams. If you don't like what you see, change it by changing that picture in your head and by changing your beliefs. Make sure your wand is pointing exactly at what you want at all times.

Know that you are never alone. You can always ask for assistance from your Higher Selves, angels, guides, the Ascended Masters, All-That-Is, at anytime. You are really standing on the brink of the Golden Age. Now is the time to remember who you really are. You truly are magicians, shamans, wizards, masters, avatars and creators.

State your goal in a positive way.

Remember you will not pay a price for setting goals. You will pay a price for not setting them.
Tips:

Be precise about how you state your goal.
Challenge yourself but be realistic.
Choose performance oriented goals as opposed to outcome oriented goals.
Select a goal that is easily measured.
With extraordinary success and happiness in my own life, I want to share the best information from all of the seminars, Cd's, videos, DVDs and of course all of the books I have read on Self Help.
I used to suffer from depression and thought about suicide often. I just didn't see the point in what my purpose was in life. I purchased a cassette program recommended by a friend of mine Personal Power 2 by Tony Robbins.
This really started to change my life in a positive way. Soon I was a self help junkie and could not get enough books to read.

The Biggest Change in my life was was soon to come, my relationship with other people. I used to look at most people in a selfish way as if they always wanted something from me.
Guess what I always seemed to give them what the needed. :) I changed the way I looked at things and soon the things I looked at changed. I have had a life since then I can only describe as Great.....

To make changes that last, you absolutely must develop positive ones to fill the void so you don't slip back into old patterns of feeling and acting or develop new bad patterns.

Greg Vanden Berge presents an entirely new way of understanding life and the forces that shape it. start living your dreams today is a modern method for personal growth based on ancient wisdom, He has helped people find new meaning, purpose, and direction in their lives.

Prayer Beads

Prayer beads are traditionally used to keep count of the repetitions of prayers, chants or devotions by adherents of religion. Since the beads can be fingered in an automatic manner, they allow one to keep track of how many prayers have been said with a minimal amount of conscious effort, which in turn allows greater attention to be paid to the prayers themselves.
There are three widely accepted uses for prayer beads:

Repetition of the same devotion a set (usually large) number of times. This is the earliest form of prayer beads (the Japa Mala) and the earliest Christian form (the prayer rope). This is also the type of use in the Bahá'í Faith
Repetition of several different prayers in some pattern, possibly interspersed with or accompanied by meditations.

Meditation on a series of spiritual themes, e.g. Islam.

Bahá'í
Bahá'ís recite the phrase "Alláh-u-Abhá", a form of the Greatest Name, 95 times per day, sometimes using prayer beads.

Buddhism
Prayer beads, or Japa Malas, are also used in many forms of Mahayana Buddhism, often with a lesser number of beads (usually a divisor of 108). In Pure Land Buddhism, for instance, 27 beads rosaries are common. In China such rosaries are named "Shu-Zhu" ("Counting Beads"); in Japan, "Juzu". These shorter rosaries are sometimes called 'prostration rosaries', because they are easier to hold when enumerating repeated prostrations. In Tibetan Buddhism, often larger malas are used of for example 111 beads: when counting, they calculate one mala as 100 mantras, and the 11 additional beads are taken as extra to compensate for errors.

Prayer Beads Rosary Beads

Forms of Praying

Muslims at prayerThe great spiritual traditions offer a wide variety of devotional acts. There are morning and evening prayers, graces said over meals, and reverent physical gestures. Some Christians bow their heads and fold their hands. Native Americans dance. Sufis whirl. Hindus chant. Orthodox Jews sway their bodies back and forth. Quakers keep silent.
Among these methodologies are a variety of approaches to understanding prayer:
The belief that the finite can actually communicate with the infinite;
The belief that the infinite is interested in communicating with the finite;
The belief that the prayer is listened to and may or may not get a response;
The belief that prayer is intended to inculcate certain attitudes in the one who prays, rather than to influence the recipient;
The belief that prayer is intended to train a person to focus on the recipient through philosophy and intellectual contemplation;

Strategic Prayer

by Angela Watkins

Stra-te-gic also stra-te-gi-cal: Importamt or essential in relation to a plan of action.
Without question, prayer is the most important - and potentially the most powerful - tool in a Christian's arsenal.
It's time we learn to pray practical, specific, result - oriented prayers. The earth is our Lord's, the fullness of it, and everyone who lives in it.
Eddie Smith, the author, the cofounder and president of the U.S. Prayer Center, equips pastors and intercessors worldwide.

Michael L. Hennen (coauthor) has served as a pastor, missionary, and church planter to diverse cultures and people. He and his wife spend most of their time in the Middle East.
Eddie's wife, Alice is one who was called at an early age to pray for the nations.
This book addresses the practical need to identify and prioritize prayer targets. Its prinicpal reflect a theology born more out of life experience than the classroom.
The effectiveness of spiritual methods depends largely on the conditions of the spiritual environment and the experience of those employing them. Attentive to spiritual principles, regardless of environment or experience, always bring positive results.
The overriding purpose of Strategic Prayer is to equip you to pray more strategically.
The power of our prayers is resident in the person of God, and our effectiveness as intercessors is wholly dependent on the quality of our relationship with Him.
Effective prayer is faithfully aligning oneself under His authority to speak and to do His word and will.

Wait for the Spirit's leading, through those who cover you, before proceeding with any strategic and corporate prayer initiatives.
There are 1,200 - 1,500 demolition companies worldwide that raze skyscrapers, chimneys, towers, bridges, and other structures.
CDI, founded in 1960 by Jack Loizeaux (retired in 1964), today is a family business run by his two sons, Marc and Doug, and Marc's daughter Stacey.
Each project CDI accepts requires months of precision planning by a world-renowned team of engineering experts to determine the best equipment, materials, manpower, and methods to be used.
What targeted, strategic prayer can destroy in a few minutes, satan has neither time nor resources left to rebuild.
As for spiritual structures, one of the biggest challenges facing any intentional intercessor is knowing how to prioritize prayer. And how can we be certain that our prayer coverage is adequate? Prayer targeting. We must carefully evaluate and select ours.
We use strategic prayer targeting to prioritize our prayer to acheive a specific goal.
In both physical and spiritual warfare, strategic timing is "mission - critical information."
We must engage in thorough research and become well informed of circumstance3s in natural and spiritual realms.

George Otis Jr. has defined spiritual mapping, our reconnaissance of the spiritual world, as "superimposing our understanding of forces and events in the spiritual domain onto places and circumstances in the material world" (Last of the Giants, 85).
In the summer of 1994, while Michael was serving as a missionary in Russia, he was asked by a television crew for an interview. One of his friends suggested that it would be great publicity for their new church, so reluctantly, ignoring the check in with his spirit, Michael agreed.
When their visa ran out, they had to leave the country to get it renewed. Upon returning, they were told that the interview had done more harm than good - because of it some had even left the church.
From that day, Michael banned all recorders and video cameras from the church and never again agreed to another interview. He decided that God doesn't need publicity!
When we leave the doors of our hearts open and unguarded to the world's influences, we can expect unwanted guests.
When the Sunni mosque was being built, Eddie, would drive by and prayer - walk their property.
As it reached completion, he wrote a letter of apology for the medieval crusades in which millions of Muslims were slaughtered in the name of Christ. He had the apology written calligraphically on parchment, took it to the five closest evangelical churches, and asked the pastors to sign it with him. Then he placed it into a gold frame and presented it to the iman. He was moved with tears and asked him to speak at the mosque's grand opening. Since then,he has developed a meaningful relationship with one of his elders. He is very near a decision to Christ.
2 Chronicles 7:13 - 14: Intercessors, we must stand in the gap and "repent the land (turn from and sincerely apologize to god for the sins that have defiled the land, whether our own or others)."
Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. (I Timothy 2:1 -2 NKJV)
When we pray for those in authority, we pray for those who occupy positions of leadership in our community.

Our responsibility to pray for our leaders is twofold:
We must certainly pray for our church leaders.
We must also pray for our community leaders.
First, we must identify the leaders in our communities and churches.
But when we cannot know the leader personally, we should pray for those that do. We can pray for them and for their influence in his life.
In the spring of 1988, Michael was about to realize a dream for which he'd prayed for more than a year. He was being sent as a missionary to Venezuela. He had two problems: not enough money and not enough time to get the money needed.
When he arrived at his Messianic Jewish Congregation, he was greeted by his travel agent and handed a ticket.
Finally, the time for his ordination came; he was prayed over and officially sent out. The pastor called him up, gave him an envelope with a check that would cover the cost of his ticket and gagve him eleven dollars besides. He could have shouted!
Money is not a problem for God, and God is always on time!
But by God's grace the riches of heaven are at the disposal of those who have faith to apprehend them, and time is only a hiccup in our eternity with Him.
Ask God to supply the financial resources necessary to expand His Kingdom through our lives.
Several years ago, Eddie attended a national conference on world evangelism in a midwestern city.

There he met Rasheed, from Pakistan. He asked him, "Has anyone this week shared with you the good news of Jesus Christ and His Salvation?" Rasheed shook his head. Eddie took the time to present Christ and His gospel, and Rasheed prayed to receive Christ!
When Eddie arrived at the meeting, a long discussion developed on strategies the American Church might employ to complete the Great Commission. Eddie said, "Gentlemen, the longer we sit in rooms like this, discussing the problem, while ignoring people like Rasheed - the young Pakistani man who manages the gift shop across the hall, who just gave his heart to Christ - the further we will be from the goal."
Strategic positions, high places can also be called "the gates of the city." The basic types are (1) geographic, (2) political, (3) commercial, and (4) religious.
Geographical gates are actual physical locations. It's said that in the world of retail marketing there are three essential criteria: location, location, location.
Political gates are "gates of influence - positions of influence in a society." People need influential favor and blessing for their endeavors.
Commercial gates are gates of financial influencde within a community. God will hold us accountable for the ethical use of the "talents" He's given us, and we should pray accordingly.
Religious gates are institutions that primarily exixst to shape a people's worldview. Because people who accept religious postions influence society's general worldview these "places" can be extremely financially and politically profitable. Therefore, we must not neglect to pray for the righteous of religious leaders.
The four "inner gates" through which all society passes are (1) health and human services, (2) education, (3) mass media, and (4) culture. Those who occupy the inner and outer gates control the communities destiny.

When Michael visited El Vijia, they were able to bring together in one room thiry-two of the city's thirty-six pastors in a historic meeting.
This was the launch of their plan to visit El Vijia to bring a word regarding Israel to its pastors.
Followers of Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation, usually agree that Jesus Christ, who is God, came to earth as a man, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died an atoning death, was raised from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is coming again. This agreement is the basis on which we come together to do Kingdom Business.
We must remain vigilant to the Holy Spirit's voice when establishing strategy. He alone knows which one is best applied at any given time.
The Bible is replete with examples of God's perfect timing.
Consider, for instance, the story of Esther, the Jewish girl who came to a postion of influence with the king at the appropriate time (Esther 2:15).
Targets are timing - critical. There is always an appropriate, strategic time for focusing on any target.
Timing - critical prayer targeting depends on discernment. Discernment deepends on sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit is the hallmark of intercessors and prophets.
The Holy Spirit (called the Spirit of Truth) given by the Father at the request of His Son, is as a Counselor (John 14: 16 - 17).
Tools and Knowledge is worthless until applied.
Paul says, "Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed upon you through prophetic utterance."
God endows individuals, communities, and nations with gifts designed to help lead the nations to Christ.
All authority and power in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus. God will hold us accountable for how we use His power and authority.
Do not try to accomplish His purposes with His power.
SPIRITUAL RECONNAISSANCE:
As a church, is our faith in God sufficiently evident to adequately reflect His glory to the communtiy?
PERSONALIZE IT:
Has God's glory ever invaded my/your life or home and brought with it a spirit of repentance and weeping?

Learn About Money From Jesus

Parable of the Talents

Matthew 25: 14-30 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast now strawed. And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For the novel by Octavia Butler, see Parable of the Talents (novel). The parable tells of a master who was leaving his home to travel, and before going gave his three servants different amounts of money. On returning from his travels, the master asked his servants for an account of the money given to them.

The first servant reported that he was given five talents, and he had made five talents more. The master praised the servant as being good and faithful, gave him more responsibility because of his faithfulness, and invited the servant to be joyful together with him.The second servant said that he had received two talents, and he had made two talents more. The master praised this servant in the same way as being good and faithful, giving him more responsibility and inviting the servant to be joyful together with him.The last servant who had received one talent reported that knowing his master was a hard man, he buried his talent in the ground for safekeeping, and therefore returned the original amount to his master. The master called him a wicked and lazy servant, saying that he should have placed the money in the bank to generate interest. The master commanded that the one talent be taken away from that servant, and given to the servant with ten talents, because everyone that has much will be given more, and whoever that has a little, even the little that he has will be taken away. And the master ordered the servant to be thrown outside into the darkness.

The parable is apparently the origin of the use of the word "talent" to use a skill or ability, from the common interpretation of the story to teach that we are under a moral obligation to use our abilities rather than bury them; compare the phrase in Milton's sonnet on his blindness,And that one talent which is death to hide Lodged with me useless... The parable of the talents, as depicted in a 1712 woodcut. The lazy servant searches for his buried talent, while the two other servants present their earnings to their master. The Parable of the Talents (sometimes just the Parable of Talents) is a parable of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 25:14-30). It was told to illustrate the nature of the Kingdom of Heaven, and that diligence in carrying out one's responsibilities is essential for more important tasks in the future.A similar parable, called The Parable of the Minas or The Parable of the Pounds is found in the Gospel of Luke 19:12-27, the main difference being that the master entrusted his servants with equal amounts, and that a mina was of much less value than a talent.Jesus described the Kingdom of Heaven using the perspective of Jewish society at that time.

He begins with the Parable of The Ten Virgins to illustrate, and continues with the Parable of Talents. Talents were used as a unit of currency. It is impossible to be exact about their value, and different kinds of talent were in use. However, even the lowest value for a talent puts it as worth several thousand denarii, and a denarius was the usual payment for a day's labour. So a talent was the value of many years of work by an ordinary person.

Mindfulness and Laughter

Gaining Clarity While Giggling

By: Maya Talisman Frost

Life is funny. Throughout the day, there are plenty of humorous moments that we tend to ignore. We get so caught up in being earnest that we miss opportunities to gain clarity while giggling. Sure, there are times when it is considered inappropriate to laugh, but if we're honest, we'll see that if we're suppressing a smile it's a sign that we're fully present. Not only that, but these are times when we could most use a little laughter to bring levity to an overly-serious situation. The best business meetings--and funerals--I've ever attended included plenty of bust-a-gut moments. Years ago, during a two-week silent meditation retreat, I got the giggles. Oh, I know, you're supposed to be *serious* about meditating for five hours straight, but I couldn't help it. It all started when I was roused from my peaceful posture by a certain "KLUNK!" from across the room. I opened my eyes to see that one of my retreat buddies had fallen asleep and landed with his head against the wall. Momentarily unnerved, he quickly straightened up, closed his eyes and put on his best meditator's face. I, on the other hand, completely lost it.

I managed to stifle the first few giggles, but then they started escaping in little bursts. I tried the ol' coughing technique, hoping to disguise my snorts as expectoration, but I wasn't fooling anyone. Pretty soon, I saw (well, I did have my eyes open) others looking my way. Nobody else was laughing. In fact, nobody else was even smiling. Clearly, I was the only one who had allowed myself to get caught up in that unexpected moment of hilarity. I was chagrined, and then annoyed, and continued to watch my response to this incident shift over the next few minutes. Had it been funny? Of course. Were we supposed to be concentrating fully on the moment? Absolutely. Anything else would be attachment to past regrets or worries about the future. Okay, so we were focusing on watching our thoughts, and this little interruption was not part of what was going on in our heads. But isn't ignoring what's happening around us the same kind of thing that gets us into trouble back in the Real World? We go about our lives, obsessing silently, moving mindlessly, getting things done. We fail to notice the wonder and joy and beauty all around us because we are in full scowl mode about the things in our heads. Well, I'm all for taking time to laugh. Give me a giggling guru over a dour taskmaster every time. The greatest guides--in business, education, and personal success--are those who encourage us to invite hilarity into our lives whenever it happens to appear. Open your eyes to the silliness around you, and laugh out loud. It's good for your heart in every way.

Significance Of Colors In Feng Shui Practice

by: Andrew Jones

Have you ever wondered what feelings do you have when you look at bright red rose in the garden? Can you imagine if a garden that does not have colorful flowers but only the green foliage? Early in the morning when you see a newly opened flower in your garden, your heart is filled with joy and happiness. Each flower in the garden has a different color and hue that affects you differently. While the white lily touches your soul for its serenity, the red rose with its vibrant energy elicits a feeling of love and passion.

The feeling is different because the flower is reflecting a different color and Feng Shui uses this natural magic of colors to transform your life. A rose is red because it reflects red color and Feng Shui makes use of this reflected energy to create a balance between yin and yang energies that suits your personality or your environment. You may be aware of two types of energies (yin and yang) that the colors in Feng Shui represent. You can think of yin energy as like a plant growing from the earth. It comes from the soil, raising itself upward and moving toward the sky. As yin energy moves up to the sky it becomes diffused and dissipated. Yin energies have an element of dreaminess about them and the colors like blue, white, green and purple according to Feng Shui are believed to have yin energies. If your home office is full of creative and dream-inducing objects or colors, Feng Shui may ask you to get rid of them (at least some of them) and introduce in their place more vibrant colors that will help you get in the right spirit to do some work and be enthusiastic. Every association you have with a color contributes in some way to how you are. That is why colors play a meaningful role within the practice of Feng Shui. It is very essential for you to understand why toning down or playing up certain Feng Shui colors in your home will help you to achieve the goals you have set for yourself in your life. The guiding principle in using Feng Shui Colors should be to achieve balance rather than excess.

Whether you are planning the color scheme of your home, office, garden or personal appearance, the following characteristics of the colors in Feng Shui practice will give you an insight into how they can be used in Feng Shui design - http://www.thespiritualfengshui.com/feng-shui-design.php Yin Colors & Feng Shui Yin colors according to Feng Shui are the colors which bring about healing and relaxation. The relation between colors and Feng Shui can be better understood by taking the example of some colors as given below. Blue: Blue color according to Feng Shui has yin energy and it is calm and soothing. This color has great significance in Feng Shui as it reflects love as it heals and relaxes. Blue creates a feeling of peace and trust. Since it is the color of the sea and sky, Feng Shui associates it with adventure and exploration. Navy blue it the color of intellect and wisdom. Black: Black color in Feng Shui symbolizes money and income, black is great for careers, especially when combined with metal. It is the Feng Shui color of emotional protection and power. Purple: Purple, the color which lies at the end of the spectrum, has a great significance in spiritual Feng Shui.

The color is excellent for physical and mental healing and Feng Shui associates it with spiritual awareness. White: The color in Feng Shui represents poise, confidence and purity. Because of its yin energy, Feng Shui uses this color mostly in combination with gold or silver to generate an atmosphere The other yin colors of Feng Shui are pink and green which also have their individual properties that are used in Feng Shui practice. Yang colors and Feng Shui Yellow: Yellow color in Feng Shui is considered to be as auspicious as red. Yellow represents sunbeams, warmth, motion, cheerfulness and friendliness. However, according to a noted color Feng Shui consultant, prolonged exposure to large amounts of intense yellow can cause anxiety. Orange: With a lot of yang energy the orange color has great significance for spiritual Feng Shui practice as it strengthens your concentration. You might use this color when your creative well runs dry. Orange color in Feng Shui is used to give you a sense of purpose. Orange is the color of organization. The other yang colors of Feng Shui are Tan/Beige, Brown, Red, Mauve, Maroon and lavender and gold. Each color has its significance such as money, luck or romance.

hese colors can be used in different combinations with Feng Shui elements for balancing the chi of your Feng Shui home, Feng Shui bed room, or Feng Shui office. Colors & Feng Shui also have a lot to do with the direction in which your home sits. There are different colors that Feng Shui defines for the use in exterior facades of your house. Exterior colors of your house in Feng Shui practice can be used for matching or enhancing the basic house type that you have. For example if your house is facing towards the south, painting its exterior with white, grey or blue enhances the flow of chi in your home. For houses facing towards East, the colors in earth tones or metal tones are thought to be of much use for enhancing the positive energies of the house. The above article has been written with the sole aim of introducing you to the significance of relationship between colors and Feng Shui. But in actual Feng Shui practice there are many other factors which need to be given importance, it is very essential for you to understand the core of Feng Shui. Once you know what is Feng Shui, you are in better position to understand the significance of Feng Shui tips. Remember that opening your heart to universe is more important than knowing meaning of colors and Feng Shui practice, because it is from there that you allow the healing energies to flow in your heart and living environments. The book on The Spiritual Feng Shui has been specially written for Feng Shui study - http://www.thespiritualfengshui.com/feng-shui-study.php, for beginners to bring home the significance of spiritualism for Feng Shui practice.

The Secret of Life

By: Dave Cole

The question Isn't, "Is there life after death." Rather, the question Is: "Are you alive before death." Some folks say that Jesus is the secret of life, others say that Buddha is, others say that Mohammed is. For just about every religious sect, they have as the basis of their religion a central figure which they claim is the secret of life. And, as a side note, if these religions didn't believe that the main character behind the religion weren't the secret, then why would anyone even bother believing in them anyway? Science has claimed the secret of life to be DNA. In her song of the same title, Faith Hill sang: The secret of life is a good cup of coffee The secret of life is keep your eye on the ball The secret of life is a beautiful woman Tom T. Hall wrote: It's faster horses, Younger women, Older whiskey and More money.

But if there really is a true secret of life, then shouldn't it stand to reason that this secret would be a constant. Something that remains the same despite religious viewpoints, despite centuries, and despite races of people. A secret of life would be something that would be applicable to all folks, in all times and ages and something that would be of benefit to any and all, irregardless of their religion or creed or race or region of the world, or era of history. A good case could be made for love being the secret of life. And if love was pure and unadulterated, then perhaps we would explore this deeper. However love can be spent in many less than virtuous avenues. There are those who have a deep, passionate love for things like drugs, pornography, money, the ways of the devil, and so on. Is there a one single, true in all cases....secret of life? If so, shouldn't this one thing be equal and beneficial to the same degree for all. Don't we all believe that the secret of life should be some special knowledge that would set us all free, solve all our problems and make us happy, contented and loved by everyone?

Down through the ages, the advice of the sages and prophets has been, "know thyself". I've got some good news for you. The secret of life, that one elixir which has baffled sages and seekers since time began, that one thing which has been sought after for centuries on end, the one thing that will provide all the answers.....is: You You are the secret of life. You, the entire you, the fabulous you, You, the single entity that is alive. You alone hold the key, you alone have the answer. You alone already have and hold the secret of life. It is hidden in the I Am. It is hidden in all that you are. It is hidden in your identity. It is called life. The entire one single thing, the secret of life, is that you are life. You are alive. You have the answer within you to whatever it is you are seeking. No one else does. Only you. You.

The great I am is you. There was once an argument among the gods over where to hide the secret of life so that men and women would not find it. One god said: Bury it under a mountain; they will never look there. No, the others said, one day they will find ways to dig up mountains and will uncover it. Another said: Sink it in the depths of the ocean; it will be safe there. No the others objected, humans will one day find a way to plumb the ocean's depths and find it easily. Finally another god said: Put it inside them; men and women will never think of looking for it there for a long time, by the time they are intelligent enough to discover the secret, perhaps they will also be wise enough to use it properly. If there ever was a secret of life, it's that you Are. It's that you should believe in you as being all that is life. You already knew this....search and look deep inside yourself, you will know this is truth.

Life is you. Life without you, wouldn't be life. It's the exact same for every creature on this earth. It never changes, indeed, it cannot. It's the same for all races and for all ages. The secret of life is never to be found external to oneself, if you're looking outside yourself, you're looking in all the wrong places. It is always to be found as oneself. And that's great news. You have your entire life ahead of you. The past is over, it's history, it cannot ever be replayed or re-done again. You have your future. You have the very now, the very present to live and to be you and to enjoy being the secret of life in.
